πŸŽ„ 10-Step Holiday Social Media Checklist πŸ“

AUDIT

1. Review what worked (and didn’t work) last year.

  • What content, holiday offers, etc. performed well and didn’t?

  • Did you set ambitious goals for creating and posting social media content and it didn’t pan out?

  • What workflow, deadlines, and content creation goals are more realistic to try to accomplish this holiday season?

  • Take note of past performance metrics and establish those as baseline KPIs to set this year's social media goals.

PLAN

2. Outline upcoming holidays and any special campaigns, promotions, giveaways or offers in your content calendar.

3. Make sure to sprinkle reminder posts about your holiday offers throughout your content calendar. Remember that your followers probably won't see every post you share, so don't be afraid of repetition!

4. Schedule your video and photo shoots styling your products for each holiday theme with the intent of using and recycling them for your website, social media posts, online graphics, etc.

5. Allocate more ad spend to boost certain posts or fund campaigns that promote your holiday offer(s). Remember that ads become more expensive during this quarter.

6. Write out a description of your ideal customer’s lifestyle, mindset, priorities and struggles as it relates to this season and your product/service. Use this description as a starting point for content ideas to populate your Q4 content calendar.

CREATE

7. Create gift guide tips incorporating your offering as posts.

8. Be on the lookout for trending holiday sounds on TikTok and Instagram to use for your videos.

9. Leverage user-generated content and customer reviews to sell your holiday offer.

10. Create a list of holiday FAQs so that you can easily respond to customer inquiries by copying/pasting them. You can also create this as a carousel post on Instagram and pin it to your page to be proactive.
